The unprecedented exhibition that promises to delight locals and tourists has just opened and is a great trip for the weekend. We are talking about the “Sea of Mirrors” in the AquaRio building. Incredible spaces for photos, immersive experiences and an invitation to reflection are the highlights of this surprising exhibition.
The attraction has more than 1300m² of mirrors (768 pieces), spread over 650m². It is the largest in all of Latin America and was developed over six months.
Some of the highlights are nine different rooms, all with impressive experiences; mirrors designed to generate optical illusions, sensations of movement and depth, as well as photo booths that provide perfect backdrops for Instagram.
Each phase of the Sea of Mirrors awakens an experience of revelation, causing different emotions in the visitor. The environments bring references to glaciers, the late afternoon reflected on the tides, the peaks that cut through the mist in the mornings, the reflection of buildings. The exhibition is an attraction developed by AquaRio, in partnership with Instituto do Vidro and signed by the firm Cité Arquitetura, by partners Celso Rayol and Fernando Costa.
According to Cataratas Group's New Business Manager, Tainá Rocha, the idea is that “visitors try and experience all possible sensations and, from there, self-criticize themselves and their role in the world, their relationship with water and the environment".
To find the exhibition, just go to the 2nd floor of AquaRio. Tickets can be purchased separately (R$30.00 – half), and through the combo for a promotional price, which also guarantees entry to the largest marine aquarium in Latin America (R$ 150.00).
