If you are passionate about music, culture and exciting experiences, write this date down in your diary: July 30, 2023. On this day, starting at 5:30 pm, with free entry and a unique presentation, Praça Mauá will host an event coming directly from Russia: the Turetsky Russian Choir.
Composed of renowned soloists, sopranos and instrumentalists under the direction of maestro Mikhail Turestsky, the current show Unity Songs presents a repertoire without borders: from classical to folk, from opera to jazz, including great international hits in Russian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and even reinterpretations of Queen like Bohemian Rhapsody in lyrical format.
“We will strengthen the bridges of friendship in the world, strengthen love and respect for Russian and Brazilian culture. We have prepared surprises in Portuguese specially selected for the public in Rio and the capital Brasília”, said maestro Mikhail Turetsky.
The group has already achieved success in other performances in Brazil, with maximum capacity and critical praise at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro and at the Memorial da América Latina in São Paulo, in 2022. In Russia, the Turetsky & Sopranos Choir is extremely popular, having performed more than 7,000 shows, in addition to performing in the most important theaters and concert halls in Europe and the USA.
