A series of events is taking over Armazém 1B, at Pier Mauá this week. This Friday, February 7th, starting at 10pm, GREAT Sessions opens the doors of Armazém 1B to bring culture, entertainment and quality electronic music to Rio's residents and visitors to the city. As a result of the renowned DJ course, GREAT DJs, GREAT Session prepared for this edition, a line up with big names from the national scene such as: DJ Konnin, Gustavo Tata, Magri, Beranger, Lelê and TSFN. The event has tickets at R$ 30.00.
With Carnival just around the corner, Pier Mauá guarantees the pre-party with Carna on Pier, a block event that takes place on the 8th.
In conjunction with the city hall, several healthy aging centers in the region are being invited to host the Best Age Ball, on February 13th, starting at 2pm. The event has free entry.
Still in the carnival rhythm, a super rehearsal will rock the public on February 14th where Mangueira and Beija-Flor perform together with their dancers, a couple of master room and flag bearer, interpreters and drums. All the joy and beauty that schools bring to Marquês de Sapucaí in their parades in the middle of Pier Mauá. The opening is by the group Samba faz bem and DJ Diego Nascimento. The event takes place at 6pm, with tickets starting at R$ 50.00.
About the events
Pier Mauá, in partnership with the production company One Job, launched a series of cultural and social activities, Pier On, where Armazém 1B was transformed into a super versatile space for carnival balls, orchestras, food trucks and much more. The program runs until March with some free attractions, and others paid for, ranging from R$ 20 to R$ 40.
