FIL 2023 (International Language Exchange Festival) – The cosmogony of childhoods – at CCBB

 

 

The long-awaited International Language Exchange Festival (FIL) is ready to celebrate two decades of life in 2023, and arrives in October, with a vibrant program. This enriching atmosphere of art, theater, dance, literature and performance promises to expand the horizons of children of all ages. This year, the Festival will address the theme “The Cosmogony of Childhood”, in other words, the title translates that it is a way of explaining how the universe emerged, exploring creativity and the multiplicity of imaginaries that characterize childhood, reflections that bring to light the formation of the world from the perspective of children. The festival presents  opera with puppets, family dancing, shows performed by – and for – children, a childhood observatory and ombudsman, as well as spectacular experiences and experiences from child to child, from child to adult and from adult to child. Sensory, tactile and immersive experiences.

THERE'S AN ANT IN THE CHAIR, with Adelly Constantini: A way for different artists who play music, circus and dance to experience their experiences and, together with the public, tell their stories.

DANSONORA: THE BODY THAT BECOME AN INSTRUMENT, with Rafael Rocha and Dasha: The purpose of the presentation is to enhance and stimulate perception, and generate, through music, bodily expressions, with dance nourishing the sound patterns.

Thus, by combining visual, sound and tactile elements, those who previously only watched become active participants in the narrative experiences proposed by artist-researchers who wish to explore new ways of stimulating emotions and perspectives.

VIA, with Bruno Carneiro: In Through, Bruno Carneiro shares with the public his story and journey, in the divine art of the circus, involving him in a multifaceted and sensorial plot. Using bamboo instruments, he takes the viewer on a sensitive dive with this element. The artist investigates the consequences of circus activity through its intersection with other languages and materialities.

Playing is science at the Museum of Tomorrow 

The Museum of Tomorrow could not be left out during this children's week, the idea is to present an engaging program that invites little ones to immerse themselves in a playful universe. Sponsored by ArcelorMittal, the presentation, which runs from October 10th until October 15th, opens doors for children to explore dreams, streets, forests and much more, using the act of playing as a magical key to discover the curiosities of the world.

It does not stop there! There will also be magical moments of storytelling and activities especially designed for babies, children and, of course, their families.
