02/10 to 02/13 – The World
This is a ship that serves as a private home for a select group of millionaires from several countries who spent astronomical sums to buy an “apartment” on the vessel. It is expected to arrive with 200 passengers and 150 crew on board. With 165 individual residences, ranging from studios to houses with up to three bedrooms. In “The World”, passengers buy apartments and take trips, which last weeks, across different oceans and continents. Expeditions take place every year, have different destinations and are led by experts in ecology, culture and adventurous exploration. At 196 meters, the ship houses culinary and recreational spaces and luxury services, which include a spa and wine curation focused on the customer's taste. It also promotes meetings with local artists, exclusive access to museums and art galleries and personal conversations with Nobel laureates.
In operation since 2002, the ship passed through Porto Belo, on the North Coast, and Itajaí, in the same region, in February 2018.
This is the largest private residential ship in the world, according to the company responsible for the project (The World Residences Inc.), in addition to being the only one of its kind currently in operation.
02/11 to 02/13 – Mv Pacific World
Making its debut at Pier Mauá, the Pacific World ship (Japanese ship called “Peace Boat”), is a 77,000 ton passenger ship, carrying 1,800 people on board. Peace Boat is an international NGO based in Japan that works to promote peace, human rights and sustainability.
Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Peace Boat World Cruises offers a unique program of activities focused on experiential learning and intercultural communication. With more than 35 years of experience, they organize around 70 trips around the world, visiting more than 200 ports in 80 countries.
02/12 to 02/15 – Silver Nova
Also for the first time at Pier Mauá, Silver Nova is an ultra-luxury cruise ship and the 12th ship in the Silversea cruise fleet launched in the second half of 2023. It is the first ship in the new Evolution class and was designed with the objective of an ecologically correct cruise respecting the fragile ecosystems of the remote and unique destinations that will be visited. The ship's pioneering architecture offers a new suite experience, including aft suites that offer stunning 270-degree views. On board, the distinctive features of Silversea quality are taken to a new level: butler service for each suite, an exceptionally high crew/guest ratio and top-quality cuisine. It was officially opened in January 2024, in a micro cruise from Fort Lauderdale (USA) to Cozumel (Mexico). It is also the shipowner's largest ship, with capacity for up to 728 passengers.
