The Rio Star ferris wheel, located close to us, in the Porto Maravilha region, has become another postcard of Rio de Janeiro and is part of the itinerary not only for tourists who visit the city, but also for Rio de Janeiro residents. An excellent option for a family weekend trip, especially when it's on sale, isn't it?
Until June 13th, visitors will be able to take two rides on the Ferris wheel for the price of one. It's the Double Happiness promotion. The laps must be performed on the same visit and are not consecutive. The objective of the action is to encourage visitors to enjoy the best view of happiness even more.
From the top you have an incredible view of the Rio landscape, being able to admire famous tourist attractions such as Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, the Central do Brasil Clock, Guanabara Bay, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, the City of Samba, the Museum of Tomorrow and much more!
To get to the ferris wheel you can take a walk from the Uruguaiana metro along Orla Conde from the surroundings of Avenida Presidente Vargas, passing by landmarks and monuments such as Candelária, CCBB, Pira Olímpica, the Museum of Tomorrow, the Museum of Arts of Rio de Janeiro, Mural do Kobra and AquaRio, until you reach the ferris wheel. Or, take the VLT and get off at Cidade do Samba station. If you go by car, there is parking at AquaRio or in the AQWA Corporate building.
At the end of the attraction you will pass by a small shop where you can buy a souvenir, and you will also have access to a café, which can also be accessed before getting in line to buy your tickets. Oh! Be sure to take photos outside Rio Star and enjoy the rest of the day visiting other attractions in the surrounding area such as the Museum of Tomorrow, MAR or AquaRio.
It is important to remember that due to the pandemic, the program was created Safe Visit, which includes other measures for the attraction, such as an exclusive cabin for up to four people from the same group, mandatory use of masks, use of alcohol gel, queue control to maintain a distance of 2m between people, constant disinfection of cabins, especially after the use and prioritization of contactless payment.
