Seven ships dock at Pier Mauá from December 13th to 19th

In the week of December 13th to 19th, seven vessels arrive at Pier Mauá bringing a total of 23,416 tourists, including crew members.

The ship Hamburg, which came from the Caribbean, passed through Belém (PA), Natal (RN), Recife (PE), Salvador (BA) and arrives in Cidade Maravilhosa (RJ) on December 13th, from where passengers will catch the flight back to Germany. The Hamburg is a ship aimed at the German upper-middle class and has capacity for 546 passengers, including the crew.

The vessel Oceania Marina begins a 20-day journey on December 14th that departs from Rio de Janeiro and continues through Ilha Grande, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Punta del Este.

On the 15th it is the turn of the already known to the Brazilian public, the Sovereing (Soberano), the only ship in the Brazilian season that operates on the all-inclusive system. The duration of most itineraries is five nights, except for the Christmas, New Year's Eve and Carnival cruises which are longer. Santos and Rio de Janeiro are the ports of embarkation for the ship that visits Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Recife, Salvador, Balneário Camboriú and Búzios. The ship underwent a 20 million euro renovation and now has a new entertainment program on board, including new shows. Throughout the 2018/19 summer season, Sovereing will carry out a total of 23 cruises along the Brazilian coast, with embarkations in Santos (SP) and Rio de Janeiro (RJ). Most itineraries will be short term (4 nights) heading to Búzios (RJ) or Balneário Camboriú (SC). The ship returns on the 19th to Pier Mauá.

On the 16th, MSC Fantasia arrives. It is estimated that the ship will bring on board more than 5,600 people, including passengers and crew. The ship will embark in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador with options for three-night mini-cruises with stops in Ilha Grande (RJ) and Ilhabela (SP); five to seven nights with stops in Ilha Grande, Búzios, Cabo Frio (RJ), Ilhéus and Salvador; and eight nights heading south, with an overnight stay in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and stops in Punta del Este, Uruguay, and Ilhabela (SP). It is the largest ship to offer sailings in the Marvelous City since the country began receiving cruise ships.

On the 16th, the MSC Orchestra ship also docks at Pier Mauá, bringing more than 3900 passengers and crew. The ship is part of the MSC Cruises company in the Music category. On board, cruisers will find warm Mediterranean hospitality, delicious Italian cuisine and attention to the smallest details. Opened in May 2007, MSC Orchestra is one of the Italian company's most recent ships.

The Costa Fascinosa arrives on the 17th. The ship will do seven, eight and nine night itineraries with embarkation at the port of Rio de Janeiro and itineraries that pass through Recife, Maceió, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Búzios, Ilhabela, Ubatuba, Angra dos Reis , Punta Del Este, Montevideo and Buenos Aires.

Fascinous Coast
