The second half of January promises to be busy at Pier Mau\u00e1 with the arrival of 16 cruise ships between the 16th and 30th, bringing more than 43,000 tourists to the city of Rio de Janeiro. The 21st and 25th will be the busiest days of the period, with four and five ships docking simultaneously, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This movement reinforces Rio de Janeiro's role as one of South America's main tourist destinations, attracting travelers from Brazil and abroad. Among the ships confirmed to call at Pier Mau\u00e1 are Costa Favolosa, Costa Pac\u00edfica, MSC Orchestra, MSC Poesia, MSC Magnifica, MSC Seaview, Seven Seas Splendor, Seven Seas Mariner, MV Pacific World, Bolete and MS Marina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as increasing the flow of tourists, the season is showing a growing interest in routes that include longer stays. \u201cWe're seeing a growing interest in alternative tourist routes, which has attracted several boats for longer stays,\u201d says Marcello Chagas, Pier Mau\u00e1's operations manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this scenario, the terminal reaffirms its relevance as the gateway to tourism in Rio de Janeiro, offering state-of-the-art infrastructure for ships and a unique experience for passengers arriving in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another important point is the increased international visibility of Rio as a tourist destination.
