Pier Mau\u00e1 closed the 2024\/2025 cruise season on April 21 and is already missed. More than 327,000 visitors passed through the terminal. Since last October, Pier Mau\u00e1 has welcomed 25 international and 11 national ships, five of which made their first stay in the city. In addition, there have been 78 national ship calls and 29 international ship calls, totaling 107 berths.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cWe're bringing another successful season to a close. There have been many challenges, but we are satisfied and optimistic. The terminal, the shipping companies and their passengers are betting on the success of the next cruise season,\u201d says operations manager Marcello Chagas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024\/2025 season was marked by an increase in the length of stay of ships in Rio de Janeiro, a factor that had a positive impact on the local economy. Growing interest in new tourist routes led ships to extend their stays, allowing passengers to better explore the attractions of the Marvelous City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe've seen an increase in interest in alternative tourist routes, which has attracted several boats for longer stays,\u201d says Marcello.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the terminal had busy days, with multiple ships at berth simultaneously: four days with five ships; one day with four ships; seven days with three ships and 18 days with two ships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPier Mau\u00e1 plays an essential role in tourism in Rio de Janeiro, contributing directly to the economy of the whole state. This season was further proof that Rio continues to be one of the most desirable destinations for tourists from Brazil and around the world. We will continue to work hard to promote Rio de Janeiro in order to further increase this flow of visitors and generate opportunities for the entire sector,\u201d said Rio de Janeiro's Secretary of State for Tourism, Gustavo Tutuca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This season, we welcomed several national and international ships, including: Aidasol, Amera, Azamara Journey, Bolette, Costa Deliziosa, Costa Diadema, Costa Favolosa, Costa Pacifica, Crystal Serenity, Ms Artania, Ms Insignia, Ms Marina, Msc Armonia, Msc Grandiosa, Msc Magnifica, Msc Orchestra, Msc Poesia, Msc Seaview, Msc Splendida, Mv Pacific World, Norwegian Star, Ocean Fuji, Queen Victoria, Scenic Eclipse, Seabourn Venture, Seven Seas Mariner, Seven Seas Splendor, Swan Hellenic Veja, Viking Jupiter, Volendam, World Navigator. The ships Majestic Princess, Sapphire Princess, Silver Ray, Vasco Da Gama and Villa Vie Odyssey had their first stay in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next cruise season is scheduled to start in October 2025 and last until April 2026. With the end of the season, Pier Mau\u00e1 reaffirms its position as one of the main cruise destinations in Brazil, offering a unique and safe experience for tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big names such as: Fashion Rio, Ler, Rio +20, ArtRIO, Veste Rio, Casa Brasil at the Rio 2016 Olympics, Mondial de La Bi\u00e8re, Montreux Jazz Festival, Rio Innovation Week, Shell Eco-Marathon and many others are part of the portfolio of events that have already occupied our warehouses and delighted the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2007, we have rented out our spaces for events of all sizes and segments, making us one of the city's main and most desirable cultural and business venues. In our leased areas in the port of Rio de Janeiro - which include the Touring Club building and Warehouses 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 and the external area, used for non-operational port activities - events such as the Rio Art Tattoo Festival and the Rio Constru\u00e7\u00e3o Summit have already been confirmed for 2025. The year's program will also include other attractions, which will be announced soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With easy access, a breathtaking view of Guanabara Bay and well-preserved historic buildings, Pier Mau\u00e1 has become one of the most popular venues for events in Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
