For those who want to have a true beer experience, you can't miss the Gastro Beer that takes place this Saturday (15/04) and Sunday (16/04), for the first time close by, on Boulevard Olímpico. As part of the region's revitalization actions, with free entry and pet friendly, the event occupies the space between AquaRio and the Yup Star Ferris Wheel and has around 30 breweries, several gastronomic options, 14 hours of live shows of various styles and for children there are Alegria Alegria attractions (there are doll workshops, slime, mini purse, handbag, painting on paper on an easel and customized diary. The activities are paid for and guided by monitors). To complete the experience, free activities are offered including gifts such as the Tour and Beer Games.
Gastro Beer Rio brings together a wide variety of brands such as Hocus Pocus, Noi and Masterpiece, as well as award-winning beers, trends and launches.
To accompany the beers, there are diverse gastronomic options. Ossos will bring Piporca (crackling), one of the most popular appetizers of the event, and rib rice. Those who enjoy artisanal burgers and sandwiches can choose from Vulcano, Belga, Ossos, Galaxy and Carvalhos.
Desserts are also varied. The artisan confectionery Mr. Docciê will present its cookies in different flavors; Gabi Confeitaria fruit and marshmallow fondue and Palha da Tina the Italian straws. The cakes in the jar are guaranteed by Amor de Brigadeiro, as well as the ice creams in the pan by Creative and the roll cakes by Danibu. The event also features natural juices from Sucos Que Beleza and artisanal breads from Avante.
One of the new features of this edition will be the Little Africa Tour, on April 15th and 16th, at 11am leaving from Largo São Francisco da Prainha. The tour will be led by guide Cosme Felippsen, born and raised in Providência, the first favela in Brazil (Little Africa). The tour passes through tourist sites such as Pedra do Sal, Tramas do Porto, Cais do Valongo, Mural do Kobra and ends at Gastro Beer Rio.
