Taking advantage of the pre-carnival atmosphere that has already taken over our Wonderful City, this weekend promises iconic blocks and super lively events, with a lot of musical diversity and filled with unmissable attractions.

Rock 80 Festival with CarnaRock, in Praça Mauá

For the second time in Praça Mauá, this Saturday (27) and Sunday (28), the traditional Rock 80 Festival takes place with the CarnaRock edition. There will be a performance by 10 rock bands, with varied cuisine, a kids' area and lots of fun. Among the various attractions, on Sunday night (28) there will be a confirmed presence of “Que Bloco é Esse”, a carnival Big Band that reinterprets Pop, Rock and MPB. The event takes place next to the Museum of Tomorrow and entry is free.

Spanta Universe 2024 

And this Saturday (27th) and also on Sunday (28th) there will be the most diverse and popular event of carnival, Universo Spanta! The event features super notable names that bring the rich diversity of styles and rhythms of Brazilian music. Spanta promises to celebrate the plurality of our rhythms and collect unforgettable moments in the second edition of the biggest Brazilian music festival in the country.

On Saturday, the event will welcome names such as Jorge and Matheus, João Gomes and the 2023 carnival champion samba school, Grande Rio. 

On Sunday there will be Martinho da Vila, Belo, Benito de Paula and the Salgueiro samba school.
