MSC Seashore ship ends 2022/2023 season at Pier Mauá this Monday (27)

The largest cruise ship sailing in Brazilian waters this season, the MSC Seashore, docked at Pier Mauá for the last time in the 2022/2023 season, this Monday (27). The vessel docked at the terminal at 5:30 am from Ilha Grande (RJ) and leaves at 5 pm, with its final destination for Italy. It will pass through the Canary Islands, Portugal, Spain and the French Riviera.

Opened in 2021, the ship has large external areas, 20 floors, 339 meters long, 41 meters wide, 74 meters high, 169.4 thousand tons and capacity for 5,632 passengers. The vessel is the first in the Seaside EVO class and combines technology with comfort, offering the Safe Air system, which uses a UV-C lamp to eliminate viruses and bacteria, to ensure clean and safe air for guests and crew. The ship has 18 bars and lounges, four main restaurants and five specialty restaurants, a theater and Le Cabaret Rouge, a space that functions both as a nightclub and as a bar and lounge.

MSC Seashore is inspired by New York City, with bright appeal, vibrant colors and an air of modernity. In the corridors there are artistic elements that go back to the city and endorse the feeling of spaciousness of the vessel, making a parallel with the skyscrapers of the American city. Along these lines, the concept of “privileged view” is present both in the glass walkway called “Ponte dos Suspiros” and in the infinity pool, which brings the feeling of immensity and contact with the sea.

With 703 square meters of space dedicated to children and teenagers, MSC Seashore has the largest children's area in the MSC Cruises fleet, as well as a program dedicated to family entertainment. The total area is divided into five different clubs, organized by age group. In each space, children are looked after by certified multilingual staff.

Throughout the month of March, 15 ships will pass through, with 27 dockings, eight of which are international and two of which will make their first stop in Rio de Janeiro. The average is 113 thousand tourists passing through Pier Mauá throughout the month.
