Event returns to Rio de Janeiro after eight years and expects more than 30 thousand people to attend
With free entry, the State Tourism Exhibition is back after eight years and is one of the biggest events in Brazilian tourism. From August 22nd to 25th, the event takes place at Armazém 2 at Pier Mauá and this year there will be no shortage of reasons to go there!
Aiming to stimulate the expansion of the tourist offer in Rio de Janeiro and the integration of actions between the public and private sectors, another important objective is to awaken the visiting public to the different alternatives that the State of Rio de Janeiro presents in tourism, valuing the richness of the segments, identities and regional peculiarities.
The fair is an important channel for promoting the State's tourist attractions and will be divided into sectors. In the first, the participating cities will showcase typical products and crafts, as well as their landscapes, places of interest and their stories. For those thinking about traveling, it will be a great opportunity, as there will be areas reserved for institutional presentations from each municipality and others for package sales, where visitors can plan their next vacation. The “knowledge center” will take place in the auditorium, a series of lectures that will take place during the four days of the event.
In addition, there will be cultural presentations on the stage and videos and photos of the interior cities will be shown on the screen. It will also be possible to try the best of typical gastronomy and much more from all the municipalities that make up the State. A delight! And all of this is being carried out by the State Department of Tourism.
The structure set up for the event will occupy an area of 3,500 m². The expectation is that the Rio de Janeiro Tourism Exhibition, held by Setur-RJ, will receive more than 30 thousand people during the four days of the event.
