Check out what's new for the 2025/2026 cruise season

The 2025/2026 cruise season is already confirmed and promises to move Pier Mauá with the arrival of imposing ships, varied itineraries and unforgettable experiences. Companies such as MSC Cruises and Costa Cruises have already announced their schedules, with sailings in various Brazilian ports and stopovers along the South American coast. It will be a season marked by novelties, themed cruises, transatlantic crossings and, of course, the traditional spectacle of New Year's Eve in Copacabana seen from the sea. Pier Mauá is preparing to welcome thousands of lucky passengers on yet another dream journey on board.

MSC Cruises: five ships and new itineraries

MSC Seaview

MSC Cruises has confirmed five ships operating in South America between October 2025 and April 2026. Four of them will have sailings in Brazil, and one with dedicated sailings in Argentina:

  • MSC Seaview: departing from Santos, it will offer 3- and 4-night mini-cruises to destinations such as Búzios, Ilhabela and Ilha Grande, as well as itineraries of up to 8 nights with stopovers in Salvador, Maceió and Ilha Grande.

  • MSC Preziosa: starts the season on October 26, 2025, with varied itineraries departing from Brazilian ports.

  • MSC Armonia: the highlight is the new “Super Northeast” itinerary, with embarkation in Rio de Janeiro and visits to Salvador, Ilhéus and Maceió.

  • MSC Lirica: will offer embarkations in Santos, with options for 3- and 4-night mini-cruises, visiting Búzios and Ilha Grande, as well as 7-night itineraries with alternating visits to Ilhabela, Ilha Grande, Rio de Janeiro, Búzios, Itajaí and Salvador.

  • MSC Fantasia: with dedicated embarkations in Buenos Aires, it will offer cruises of 8, 9 and 10 nights, visiting destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, Ilhabela, Balneário Camboriú and Montevideo.

MSC has also confirmed its presence on New Year's Eve in Copacabana with the MSC Seaview, MSC Armonia and MSC Lirica ships, offering special itineraries for New Year's Eve. 

Costa Cruises: tradition and transatlantic crossings

Costa Favolosa

Costa Cruises has also announced its schedule for the 2025/2026 season in South America, with two ships:

  • Costa Diadema: from November 28, 2025, it will offer 3- and 4-night mini cruises from Santos and Itajaí, visiting Ilhabela. From December 21, 2025, it will offer 7-night cruises in the Rio de la Plata region, departing from Santos, Itajaí and Buenos Aires.

  • Costa Favolosa: starts operating on November 23, 2025 with 3- and 4-night mini cruises to the cities of Ilhabela, Balneário Camboriú and Porto Belo, departing from Santos. From December 2025 to March 2026, it will offer 8- and 9-night cruises around the Rio de la Plata region, departing from Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Montevideo.

Both ships will also make transatlantic crossings between Europe and Brazil:

  • Costa Favolosa: departure from Genoa on November 2, 2025, with arrival in Brazil on November 23. The return to Europe will be on March 16, 2026, departing from Rio de Janeiro.

  • Costa Diadema: departure from Savona on November 8, 2025, arriving in Brazil on November 28. The return trip will be on April 19, 2026, departing from Santos with a final landing in Kiel, Germany, on May 15, 2026.

Theme cruises: music and fun on board

The 2025/2026 season will also feature themed cruises aboard the MSC Preziosa, with highlights including:

  • Chitãozinho and Xororó Ship: November 15 to 18, 2025.

  • Cabaret Ship: November 18-21, 2025.

  • Beauty on the High Seas: December 13-16, 2025.

  • Smile Ship Only the Old Ones: December 16-19, 2025.

  • Zezé's ship: January 11-14, 2026.

  • 89 Rock Boat: January 2026.

These trips offer unique experiences, combining live music, theme parties and the presence of renowned artists.
