Seven ships are expected at the Rio terminal during the month

February promises to be a busy month at Pier Mauá! With seven ships scheduled to dock at the terminal and 20 moorings, Pier Mauá is prepared to receive more than 63,000 tourists. In the first 10 days of the month, 27,637 people are expected, while in the second half, the flow should increase to 35,970 tourists.

The ships that will visit the Marvelous City in February are: Costa Pacífica (4 times); MSC Orchestra (6 times); Costa Favolosa (4 times); MSC Poesia (3 times); Queen Vitoria (1 time); Amera (1 time) and Vasco da Gama (1 time), which will be at Pier Mauá for the first time!
The foreign ships will stay overnight at Pier Mauá, with the Queen Vitoria for two days and the Amera and Vasco da Gama for three days.
During their stay at Pier Mauá, passengers will be able to enjoy a variety of activities, including guided tours of Rio de Janeiro, Porto Maravilha tours and shopping options in and around the terminal.
The arrival of these ships also has a positive impact on the local economy, with estimates of revenue generation for the region's traders and service providers.
Security at Pier Mauá
To guarantee the safety of everyone who passes through the terminal, Pier Mauá has invested significantly in improvements and cutting-edge technology.
“Safety is the watchword this season for both Pier Mauá and the international maritime organization. These investments reinforce the terminal's commitment to the safety and well-being of all those who visit us,” says Marcello Chagas, Pier Mauá's operations manager.
Ease of access
For the best boarding for those coming by taxi or transport app, passengers should get off at Av. Barão de Tefé. For those coming by car, the nearest 24-hour parking lot is “Parking Pier Mauá”, with a car entrance between Barão de Tefé and Souza Lima, and pedestrian access on the Olympic Boulevard, almost at Armazém 4.
Tourists coming from Santos Dumont airport or Novo Rio bus station can also take the VLT, with the nearest station being Parada dos Navios.
With this facility around the terminal, Pier Mauá aims to help minimize disruption to tourists and make the trip even more enjoyable.
